Ementa: Diversidade cultural numa perspectiva globalizada. A dimensão inter e (multi)cultural na aprendizagem de línguas. Reflexos de aspectos culturais na linguagem: os atos de fala, os princípios da cooperação e da polidez linguística, as implicaturas, os eventos de fala. A produção de significado, relações de poder e identidade. Implicações para o ensino e aprendizagem de língua estrangeira e segunda língua.
